Our Privacy Commitment

I. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how My Diary (Nhật Ký Của Tôi) (the "App") handles user information. The App is developed by mkdev.

The App is built on a local-first principle — no account required, no server, no internet connection needed to use the core features. All your diary entries, photos, and settings exist only on your device.

II. Data We Do NOT Collect

The App does not collect any of the following:

• Name, phone number, email address, or any personal identifiers
• Diary content or photos you attach (these always stay on your device)
• Precise location data

We (the developer) do not operate any server that collects user data. However, the App uses third-party advertising and analytics/crash-reporting services (Google, Firebase) that collect some technical data (advertising ID, device identifiers, device info, approximate location from IP) and share it with Google — see sections V and VI.

III. Device Permissions

The App (on both iOS and Android) requests the following device permissions solely to enable its features:

• Photo Library / Storage: to attach photos to diary entries. Photos are only stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
• Notifications: to send diary reminders and in-app notifications. You can disable them anytime in Settings.
• Biometrics (Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint): to unlock your diary (optional). Biometric data is handled entirely by the operating system (Apple / Google); the App has no access to it.
• Personalized-ads consent: on iOS via the App Tracking Transparency prompt; on Android via Google's consent form (UMP). If you decline, the App keeps working normally and only shows non-personalized ads.

All permissions are requested through the operating system's standard mechanism (iOS / Android). You can revoke any permission at any time via your device Settings.

IV. Backup & Restore (Optional)

The App lets you export a backup file of your diary and choose where to save it (e.g. iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Files, or share via another app). Backup is entirely under your control; the file is saved to the service you choose and we have no access to it. The privacy policy of your chosen storage provider (Apple / Google…) applies to the file stored there.

V. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has used the App, please contact us.

VI. Third-Party Services

To keep the App free and reliable, we integrate a few third-party services. These services may collect technical data under their own privacy policies:

• Google AdMob (advertising) — may use advertising identifiers (Android Advertising ID on Android, IDFA/IDFV on iOS), device info, and approximate location (from IP) to serve ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and how AdMob uses data.
• Firebase Analytics (Google) — usage metrics, device/session identifiers and device info to analyze and improve the App.
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — crash reports and device diagnostics to help us fix bugs.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — uses a device token to deliver push notifications.

These services do not access your diary content or photos — that content always remains on your device. The data they collect is shared with Google under their policies; you can see details in the App's "Data safety" section on Google Play.

In-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store (on iOS) or Google Play Billing (on Android). We do not receive or store your payment information.

VII. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using My Diary (Nhật Ký Của Tôi), you agree to be bound by the following terms. Please read them carefully before use.

I. General Terms

My Diary is developed by mkdev. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

II. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your iOS / Android devices in accordance with the App Store / Google Play Terms of Service. This license does not permit you to:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Commercially exploit the App in any form
• Reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code

III. Intellectual Property

All content, UI, icons, and source code in the App are owned by mkdev and protected by copyright law. Content you create (diary entries, photos) belongs entirely to you. We make no claim over your personal content.

IV. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App for personal, lawful purposes only. You must not use the App to store content that violates applicable laws or infringes the rights of others.

V. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will operate without interruption or error. We are not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, App deletion, or causes outside our control. We strongly recommend regularly backing up your data using the Backup & Restore feature in the App.

VI. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, mkdev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

VII. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with Vietnamese law.

VIII. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

In-App Purchase Policy

My Diary offers an optional premium upgrade to unlock the full feature set.

I. What Premium Unlocks

Subscription title: My Diary Premium  —  Length: 1 year (auto-renewable).

The premium subscription includes:

• Removal of all ads
• Unlimited diary entries
• Advanced customization (fonts, colors, backgrounds)
• Additional features included in future updates

Core features (writing diary entries, setting a passcode, reviewing past entries) remain free forever.

II. Pricing & Payment

• Premium is an auto-renewable subscription with a 1-year billing period. The exact price is shown inside the app and on the App Store / Google Play and may vary by region.
• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID (iOS) or Google (Android) account at confirmation of purchase.
• Payment is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Billing. We do not store your credit card or billing information.
• Prices may vary based on local tax and currency policies.

III. Auto-Renewal & Cancellation

The subscription automatically renews each year unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time: on iOS via Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions; on Android via Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep Premium until then.

IV. Restore Purchases

If you switch devices or reinstall the App, you can restore your purchase for free using the "Restore Purchases" button in the App. You must be signed in with the same Apple ID (iOS) or Google account (Android) used for the original purchase.

V. Refund Policy

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, so refunds follow the policy of the corresponding platform:

• iOS (Apple): per the Apple App Store refund policy — request at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Android (Google Play): per the Google Play refund policy — request via the Google Play app or at play.google.com.
